Living Diversity

"living diversity" is an inclusive and intercultural youth exchange at Lake Constance with young people from France, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Germany aged 14-18 years. Above all, it is characterized by the artistic and creative workshop work (dance, theater, music and media) on the topics of diversity and solidarity. In addition to the thematic small group work, leisure activities take place in the afternoon. The workshop and project results will be presented towards the end of the week in Friedrichshafen.

The youth meet from 28.07. until 04.08. in Friedrichshafen at Lake Constance. The creative workshops are offered in the mornings: Media & Journalism, Theater, Music & Songwriting and Theater & Performance. The group will also spend their free time together in the region and will use the opportunity for sports activities. The workshop results will be presented to the public at the end of the week.

Focus on diversity and tolerance

"Living diversity" aims at creating space to get in touch with young people from other backgrounds. The project is thus reducing stereotypes, prejudices and approaches to racism through a strong community experience and close workshop activities. There are hardly any other youth weeks that are diverse as such: Refugees, young people with disabilities, young people with different experiences from France, Germany and Bosnia Herzegovina can get to know each other throughout the week and experience a week of diversity and friendship.

This year's focus lies on aspects of diversity and tolerance that are becoming increasingly important in Europe. The cooperating partners strive to continue the project annually in order to specifically promote civic engagement, international youth work and equal opportunities. Affordable and attractive recreational opportunities for disadvantaged groups like refugees are difficult to access for many.

This project is based on a cooperation between the NGOs Starkmacher e.V. (Germany), the French organisation Les Petits Debrouillards and SCU (Središte za cjeloživotno učenje) from Bosnia.
