SEEDS 4 Youth

Cooperation partnership in the field of youth
The SEEDS 4 Youth project supports youth workers in promoting entrepreneurial skills among young people with and without a migration background. The aim is to equip young people with skills and abilities that will be useful to them in the future. The perspective of young people is also important for building inclusive and sustainable businesses, which is why their feedback is collected and taken into account.
During the project, international youth workers from South Africa, Italy, France and Germany exchanged different practices and learned new methods, which they then tested in their local contexts, giving them (innovative) ideas for their local youth work. The focus was on circular economies and local (community) resources. In addition, the project explored how young people can be helped on their path to self-employment.
The collaboration focused on intensive exchange between youth workers on practices that improve young people’s entrepreneurial opportunities. The emphasis was on local, sustainable solutions. Through the four international training courses, job shadowing opportunities, local testing phases and the collection of insights gained, the participants improved their working methods, enabling them to better support their young people. Thanks to the handbook developed, the documentation of the project content and the public dissemination of the insights gained, other youth organisations as well as youth workers also benefited from the project results.
